Art is Passion
I have been living and working in Umbria since many years, surrounded by uncontaminated nature - source of continuous inspiration - which incessantly feeds my pictorial research dominated by the brightness that surrounds me.
After my first artistic studies in Rome, I perfected my pictorial career in Paris, the city where I lived for several years, coming into contact with the multifaceted and stimulating artistic world of the French capital. The various frequentations of prominent contemporary expressionist’s atèliers the innumerable art galleries, the endless visits to the best known and lesser known museums of that city, the continuous and stimulating study of the masterpieces of the expressionist masters. That has been my school, my academy. Those were important years, years that have definitively traced and influenced my pictorial direction which was subsequently consecrated to a different observation of the chromatic notes and of the surrounding forms. A different storytelling followed the initial tale of my Mediterranean origins. The constant search for techniques, new shapes and shades did the rest.
Probably new projects, new ideas will follow but they will be spontaneous “children” of a new curiosity. I'm not worried about it because they will come on their own, as a natural consequence. And I'm happy with it.
